Gummy When?

Gideon Leo Spingath was born 8 days early on September 10th,

2009. 7lbs 1 oz, 19inches, and healthy.

Here’s a page where we will post some quick info on doctor’s appointments, due date estimates, etc…

So far, my due date is: September 18th, 2009

My “first” doctor’s appointment was: Monday, February 23rd, 2009.
This appointment included our first ultrasound!  Check out the blog to see how it went.

Updates on previous doctor’s appointments:

• 20-week ultrasound: revealed that we are having a BOY!
• 24-week blood work: results showed that Momma has regular blood sugar levels and no anemia. Hooray!
• 24-week ultrasound: we had a 2nd ultrasound to double-check Gummy’s stomach and intestinal development.  He’s right on track, everything looks great! (and yes, he’s still a boy!)

August 2009:
Currently I’m having appointments every two weeks.  Already in the final stretch of things, checking heart rate, size of uterus (which is now comfortably pushing up my ribcage…), and size/placement of GummyBoy.  :)

August 10th’s check up will be my 34-week mark.  After that, we will be taking weekly check ups since I’ll be FULL TERM!  Wow time is flying!

Also coming up…

• Jeremy & I are taking birth preparation classes… Thursday, July 30th will be our last one.  Blogs to come from that for sure!
• We are having a Baby Shower on August 15th!  Woo-hoo!

Birth preparation classes were fun and interesting and were worth it. Gave us a good idea of what to expect, because when it’s your first time, you don’t really know.
